What are reference values?
The reference values used in the nutritional information table represent the set intake of energy and selected nutrients an average adult needs; they serve consumer guidance purposes. The energy or nutrients contained in one piece or one portion (% stated) is calculated in relation to these values (100%).

What are nutrient reference values (NRV)?
The nutrient reference values (NRV) are set values that represent the required daily intake of vitamins for an average adult. The amount contained in one hundred grams of a particular food (% stated) is calculated in relation to these values (100%).
