Health promotion at Storck

The health, motivation, and performance of our employees are important for good work results – and for enjoyment at work. That is why the Occupational Health Management (OHM) program at our production sites in Berlin, Halle, and Ohrdruf focuses on health promotion, occupational medicine, and counseling.

Strengthening employee health

Our goal is to strengthen the health of our employees and reduce health risks. To achieve this, Storck offers numerous programs in the areas of exercise, ergonomics, nutrition, and psychosocial counseling. Our OHM teams also organize health days on topics such as diabetes, bowel cancer prevention, back checks, and vein screening.

Company doctors and physiotherapists based at our sites carry out occupational health examinations and provide individual counseling for our employees. They offer personal appointments, provide advice during workplace tours, and conduct hearing and vision tests as well as voluntary vaccinations.

Actively involving employees

An OHM steering committee meets quarterly in Halle and Berlin to discuss possible health offerings. In addition, health committees in individual production departments collect suggestions and concerns from employees directly on site. Together, they work to support a safe and healthy working environment. In doing so, they look for potential stresses and hazards in work processes and jointly develop practical improvements.

Motivated by work and everyday life

We motivate our employees with a range of sports and exercise programs. For example, they can take part in fitness classes or join our company soccer or volleyball teams, depending on their location. In addition, committed colleagues organize running groups and cycling tours. All employees also have the option of leasing a bicycle with support from Storck. In this way, we want to encourage them to use their bikes to get to work and stay active.
